Welcome to the WADO KAI KARATE DO FEDERATION OF INDIA
Founded in June 1986 in the capital city of Gandhinagar, the WADO KAI KARATE DO FEDERATION OF INDIA, Gujarat has been a cornerstone of martial arts education for over three decades. With training centres spread across various districts, we have successfully imparted karate training to thousands of youth, empowering them to demonstrate their abilities through regular education and disciplined practice.
Over the past 20 years, in collaboration with schools, colleges, and voluntary organizations, we have primarily trained approximately 600,000 boys and girls under the guidance of professional Black Belt Trainers. Currently, our training programs are actively running in Gujarat, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and Rajasthan.
Our academy's pioneer, Kyoshi Arvind Rana, has an extensive background in Karate, Aikido, Jukado, Kobudo, and kickboxing, with 14 years of dedicated training. In 1994, he established the Kanzen Goju Martial Arts Association, blending various martial arts techniques. By 2004, Karate was recognized as a demonstrative sport by the International Olympic Committee during the Olympics.
Kyoshi Shri Arvind Rana received Wado-Ryu training in 1988-89, which inspired him to establish the WADO KAI KARATE DO FEDERATION OF INDIA. The academy's headquarters are located in Gandhinagar, with Kyoshi Shri Arvind Rana serving as the Technical Director. The WADO KAI KARATE DO FEDERATION OF INDIA, is a member of the Karate Association of India (KAI). KAI is recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and the Indian Olympic Association. Nationally, Kyoshi Rajesh Agrawal is instrumental in promoting Wado-Kai Karate across India.
We have also embraced digital platforms to extend our training. Through the Government's Diksha Portal, we have provided online training to 250,000 students, offering certification upon completion. Thousands more have already benefited from our online training programs, making martial arts education accessible to even more students across the country.
Under the Suraksha Society Programme, thousands of girls have received self-defense training in Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Porbandar, Surendranagar, Godhra, Mehsana, and Anand districts. This initiative aims to empower young women with the skills and confidence needed to protect themselves and promote a safer community.
